Baby Product Buyer

Salary: $100k total comp

The Merchandising Department is seeking a Buyer for our Baby products and apparel department to source and manage products.

Job duties include:
•Meeting and working with vendors
•Tracking sales and returns
•Strong price negotiating
•Selecting and purchasing core products from vendors
•Working with current partners, finding new partners, and negotiating partner items
•Managing existing inventory and allocating inventory in high conversion categories
•Traveling and attending various trade shows
•Pricing products and comparison shopping to ensure the lowest possible price.

Ideal candidate will have 3 years of prior buying experience in the baby department. Online and/ or drop ship experience is a plus. Must be organized, proactive, quantitative, entrepreneurial, show attention to detail, have strong negotiation and communication skills. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience working for or with companies such as BabiesRUs.com, fisher-price.com and amazon.com’s baby department or similar companies is a plus. Experience with Excel is a plus.
